Wisdom Of The Tarot-The Wheel Of Life

February 5th, 2007

We all tend to view life as something that should be easy. Good things should just happen and bad things shouldn’t. Life should be simple. Life should be just full of good times. The sky should never rain on our lives. But rain waters the plants and makes them grow. It gives us water to drink. Without it we’d die. Maybe things we see as bad are equally valuable.

The Hermit is an example of something we don’t want – being alone. Loneliness is indeed a terrible thing and can blight your life. There is, however, another side to this solitude. The traditional hermit would by choice travel to some out of the way place and live alone for years. Why would they do this? To learn. Perhaps you live a very busy life constantly on the go, constantly striving and trying to juggle your responsibilities. Imagine then no noise, no hustle and bustle, just peace, quiet and time for yourself. Imagine what you could learn having taken the time to listen. Being alone isn’t so bad: it depends on your attitude to it.

The Tower indicates another example of something we don’t want - a crisis. Sometimes things happen and we know that we will never be the same again. The Tower shows people falling from a tower. They think that they can fly but they are going to discover that they can’t. It’s about seeing the truth. Sometimes this is painful. It always means that something significant has changed. We go on in life altered by this event. In the future, though, we are stronger because we had this moment of clarity: it focuses your mind, it shows you what can and can’t be achieved. The challenge of the Tower is to pick yourself up and rebuild. Without the lightning strike of the Tower we’d never get a chance to rebuild, bigger and better. Sometimes you have to tear it down in order to start again.

The Wheel of Fortune finishes our triptych of cards. Sometimes really bad people have very good luck. Really good people sometimes have very bad luck. They’re on the Wheel, as we all are. The Wheel turns and life gets wonderful, we are incredibly lucky and we get everything we want. It turns again and everything goes wrong, nothing seems to work out the way we want it to. It turns once more and luck and joy flows into our lives again. This is the truth of life. This is one of the most important lessons in life: everything changes, nothing stays the same.

If you are lonely, you won’t be forever. Try to use this time to grow and learn. If you are going through a crisis, it won’t last. Try to learn what you can and get through it. If you are happy with everything going your way, don’t become complacent. Try to cherish this upward turn of the wheel.

The Wheel of Fortune will continue to turn and we can fight it or we can work with it. Try to learn from everything that happens to you because then you are growing in wisdom no matter what life throws at you. Wisdom is the insulation from the harsher turns of the Wheel. Wisdom gives us the ability to appreciate love. Wisdom enables us the help others when the Wheel turns downwards for them.

‘To everything – (turn, turn, turn) There is a season –( turn, turn, turn) And a time for every purpose under heaven’ (The Byrds)

The alternative is to not be on the Wheel at all.

‘Life is full of misery, loneliness, and suffering - and it’s all over much too soon.’ (Woody Allen)

I wish you the wisdom to see that every turn of the Wheel is in your favour.

Psychic Abilities and Money in Palmistry

October 31st, 2006

This is an important part of the reading, as everyone who has been to any sort of reader before will have been told that they possess psychic abilities, latent perhaps (very latent even!) but there nonetheless. Consequently, you will have to make some mention of this as well, because it will add credibility to your reading.

There are two main positions to look at on the palm for this, and they are shown on the drawing below.

Psychic Abilities

The first of these is a semi-circle around the base of the first finger, usually about half an inch away from the bottom of the finger. This is called the Ring of Solomon. When I see this I say:

“This is known as the Ring of Solomon. IT gives an interest in the psychic and is possibly why you are her today.”

I then look diagonally across the palm for a Line of Intuition, which is a small line running into the centre of the palm from the bottom end of the hand on the same side as the little finger. This line is often hard to see, or not present. If it is there I comment:

“This is your Line of Intuition. Your Ring of Solomon gave an interest in the psychic. This gives ability at it. It it very rare, in fact only about one person in a hundred has it (not true). You should always act on your hunches or feelings as, with this line, they would always be correct.”

If the person has long fingers, I add:

“However, you are basically a very logical person, so you may have to learn to put aside your rational, logical mind and let your feelings flow. It may not be easy, but with this line, your feelings would be right, so you could ultimately take it a long way.”

If someone has two Lines of Intuition, (two lines close together) I say:

“Your feelings could come very well through dreams. It is not always easy to remember your dreams, but if you tried, and possibly keep a dream diary by your bed, you could take in a long way.”

Occasionally you will find a Line of Intuition which comes right down the hand and reaches either the Destiny Line or the Head Line. If it reaches the Head Line I say:

“As your Line of Intuition comes right down to your Head Line, you would make a very good psychic or spiritual teacher. It looks as if you have developed your abilities quite a bit, but you are going to take these special gifts much, much further in the future.”

If, however, it comes across to the Destiny Line, I say:

“With your Line fo Intuition coming across to join your Destiny Line, you will find that your psychic abilities will take you long way ultimately. This could come about through telepathy, clairvoyance, even through foreseeing the future. You could spend time and effort on developing intuitively and spiritually, as this will make your ultimate progress that much more successful.”

There is also what is known as a Psychic shaped hand. This is a long slender, graceful hand, normally covered with a myriad of worry lines and a pronounced Girdle of Venus. However, I ignore hand shapes in doing a quick reading, as they are not necessary. If you become interested in Palmistry as a study on its own, you will find the shape of the hand is extremely important in character analysis. However, it is outside the scope of this work.

Money

This is another subject you must cover as everyone is vitally interested in obtaining money, or in being secure in their old age.

Earned money

Earned money is shown by a triangle formed on two sides by the crossing of the Destiny and Head Lines. Usually there is a third line forming the third side. The larger this triangle is, the greater the potential for earning money. It doesn`t mean they will earn all the money indicated by this triangle. It is simply a potential. The other main money sign is a little line between the third and fourth fingers. This indicates inherited money. Some fortunate people have a number of these fine lines. I cover money this way:
“You have a good money sign (indicating vaguely the triangle at tine intersection of the Destiny and Head Lines). This is a potential only, but it does look as if you will do well financially over a lifetime.”

If the person also has a gap between the Head Line and the Life Line, (illustrated in the last lesson) I say instead of the above:

“ You have a good money sign, so over a lifetime a lot of money will come in. However, you will always be a good spender, so some will go out as well. Early in your life you may have been better at spending it rather than making it, but nowadays you are pretty good at hanging onto it, also, provided there is a purpose to mind. Ultimately, you will do pretty well financially.” “Pretty well” can mean anything of course. 

Inherited money

I read the inherited money lines this way:
“These lines indicate inherited money, so you will come into money (a number of times). However, I can not date these. They could be either in the past or ahead of you. Also, they may not come directly through you, either.”
That doesn`t really tell much either, does it? 

I always tell people that I don`t recommend gambling. “Easy money” is indicated by little triangles on the inside of the Life Line, but they are vary hard to see and interpret, so, for a quick reading I do not even try to find any. Instead I say:
“I wouldn`t really recommend gambling. It doesn`t look as if you have much success in that regard. In small ways, maybe, but not in large ways. Your luck comes in other ways. Through hard work you always get there in time.”

Psychic Advice

August 17th, 2006

The term psychic was derived from the Greek word ‘psyche’. In earlier times, the word meant breath of life and was used in reference to soul and spirit. Subsequently, the meaning changed to refer to mind and emotions, which further led to psychology coming into existence. These days it is used in a wider sense and represents all types of mental occurrences, higher sensitiveness, hypnotic receptiveness, stimulated foresight and clairvoyance.

A psychic reader, commonly called a psychic, is a person who is considered gifted. A psychic is born with extra sensory perception or may have developed it during his or her lifetime. They are able to understand people’s lives by studying specific patterns in relation to the soul, spirit, mind and emotions. Psychics are known to be highly intuitive.

Different methods may help people determine if the psychic advice provided is comprehensive. After a psychic reading, people need to introspect and realize if all questions have been answered. It is important to ask as many questions possible so the mind is at peace. The setup and surroundings may at times be overwhelming. In most cases, this makes people agree in totality during a psychic interaction. It is important to sit back and understand the sequence of events before agreeing in totality.

The purpose of opting for psychic advice is to understand and address all queries in the mind. The event is meant to provide a healing experience and help cope with present and forthcoming circumstances. Hence, it is vital that people feel good about everything at the end of a reading. If people’s readings include unpleasant news, it is necessary to receive advice on how to deal with the problem. A complete and true psychic reading is almost always able to provide answers pertaining to any subject.

Consumption of drugs and alcohol will not provide good results. If a person has just been in a fight or is unwell, it is not possible to have a good reading. People should have a clear head and be in a calm space for a psychic reading. Having an open mind, to listen to and process what the psychic has to say, is also beneficial.

The True Zodiac

July 7th, 2006

Vedic Sidereal Zodiac

The firmament contains countless stars that we know little about. But those that concern us from an astrological viewpoint because of their influence on earth and its inhabitants are located in the zodiac belt that extends 9° on each side of the ecliptic (upward and downward) to form an imaginary 360° sphere divided into 12 equal parts called zodiac signs.
Since the zodiac is not a straight line, but a circular or ecliptic belt, how can the beginning or starting point be identified? The Jyotisha establishes that point on the basis of fixed constellations, specifically the Ashwini (or Arietes according to modern astronomy) at 0°. The starting point for Western astrology, however, is the vernal equinox (in the Northern Hemisphere), on March 21. This happens when the sun moves northward to a spot precisely over the equator. At that moment, night and day last the exact same length of time anywhere on earth. When the spring equinox coincided with the Ashwini 0° position about 1800 years ago, the two zodiacs, the sidereal (Vedic) and the tropical (Western), were identical. However, the retrograde movement of the equinoctial points (a phenomenon known as the precession of the equinoxes) creates a constant delay of 1° every 72 years, meaning that today there is a difference of over 24° between the true zodiac based on the constellations from which the signs take their qualities and, in some cases, their names, and the zodiac used today in Western astrology.
So, according to the sidereal zodiac, the Sun is not in the sign of Aries between March 23 and April 22, as shown in Western horoscopes, but is located there between April 14 and May 13. The same difference of over 23° is to be found in the position of the ascendant and in that of the other planets.
In order to calculate a birth chart according to the sidereal zodiac, if Western birthdays are used, the correction known as ayanamsha must be made. The term Ayanamsha is a combination of two Sanskrit words: ayana, which means “solstice” and amsha which means “a portion”, and establishes the difference between the present location of the spring equinox in relation to the fixed constellations, and the beginning of the Aries constellation. In other words, it is used to calculate the constellational longitude of a point or a celestial body when its position has been taken from Western birth dates.
The official Ayanamsha used by the Government of India is the Lahiri, according to which the beginning of the Ashwini constellation and the vernal equinox coincided in the year 258 A.D.
An error handed down by the Greeks

Modern Western astrology has inherited the Greek error of measuring the zodiac from the spring equinox. A great deal of the literature on which current astrology is based was written and translated in the third century and at that time the vernal equinox coincided with the beginning of the Ashwini or Aries constellation. The Greeks made the mistake of considering that point unchangeable. The spring equinox today still occurs in the third week of March, as it did at that time; however, it is no longer in the Aries constellation, but in the Pisces because of equinoctial precession.
The popular idea that we are living in the Age of Aquarius is another misconception arising from that same error; in actual fact, this is the Age of Pisces and it will be another four centuries at least before the Age of Aquarius sets in.
It is important here to stress that the signs of the zodiac do not exist apart from the constellations; they are imaginary spaces that correspond to a given group of stars.
This also means that the horoscopes published in Western newspapers and magazines are meaningless, because the position of the Sun is their only reference point and in 75% of the cases this position is incorrect, having been calculated according to an obsolete zodiac. In India, however, the Bangalore monthly, “The Astrological Magazine,” and other similar publications contain horoscopes based on the Moon, which is used to calculate planetary courses, as we shall see later. Most of the people there can benefit from reading a true horoscope based on Lunar planetary courses.
The Vedic sidereal zodiac corresponds to visible and certifiable astronomical phenomena

Physicist Georges Charpak and Professor Henri Broch, in their scientific book “Debunked”, published in France, seek to “unmask” mystical philosophies and beliefs, together with certain paranormal phenomena like levitation, walking on coals, and so forth. They use the following argument to demonstrate the alleged falseness of astrology:
“In fact, the zodiac birth signs so common in astrological columns, along the supposed personal qualities for those born under them, are mostly based on astronomical positions traced out thousands of years ago. The problem with this is that the axis of the Earth’s rotation is in continual change. The axis pivots, in a way similar to a spinning top, completing a revolution in about 25,790 years. As a result the zodiac signs in use today by astrologers do not correspond at all to the constellations represented when the charts were originally drawn up”
The authors conclude that modern society is infected with thoughts that have little to do with science and that it is not so rational or scientific, after all. In seeking to discredit astrology in general, Charpak and Broch brandish an argument that, as we have seen, is not applicable to Vedic astrology, whose zodiac recognizes and adjusts to the continuous changes in the axis of the earth’s rotation they mention in their book. Astrology, for them, apparently refers only to that practiced in the West. It is true, then, that modern society is neither so rational, nor so scientific, for, with the exception of a very small group of people, it is unfamiliar with the goldmine of knowledge and information to be found in the Vedas and believes that the civilization of ancient India was based exclusively on superstition and religious fanaticism, without any philosophical or scientific basis whatsoever.
When modern astronomers and students discover the existence of the Vedic zodiac, they will realize that the wise men of old India were extremely familiar with facts that they are only now beginning to glimpse with the advances in technology. They will find themselves, thanks to this discovery, looking upon that civilization and culture with respect and admiration and will want to learn from it. We predict that in the not-too-distant future, there will be very few astrological practitioners who don’t use the Vedic sidereal zodiac.

Psychic Phone Readings

May 24th, 2006

Mention the term ‘psychic phone reader’ and most people scoff in cynical incredulity. Others simply shrug their shoulders admitting that they don’t know what to believe. Sadly, a number of scam artists duping vulnerable people with questionable services are overshadowing the legitimate gifted people. Just as when locating a doctor or lawyer one makes enquiries, one must make an effort to locate an authentic psychic phone reader.

Speculation notwithstanding, with attractive commercials endorsing the power of psychic phone readers to transform our lives, a large number of callers are paying up to $2 a minute for a supernatural advisor. Though some people prefer an impersonal voice offering them counseling, which they feel helps them in opening up more easily, others consider the personal interaction that comes with meeting a psychic reader in person more gratifying.

New clients usually have no idea how a psychic phone reading works and hence the guesswork about its accuracy. When a person makes up his mind to undertake a phone reading, he is making a conscious decision to see the past, present and future outcome of a particular situation. This creates a connection between him and the reader. His mind continuum contains all the necessary physical information that is required for the session though eventually, the psychic is not reading the physical body at all; he is reading the Akashic Record. Therefore a person does not have to be physically present for a psychic reading.

An important thing to keep in mind is that when a person has decided to trust his psychic reader, a lot of vital information becomes available to the reader. A genuine psychic reading, particularly on the telephone, should not include too many personal questions by the reader; rather, the customer should receive direct answers to his questions.

Accurate Psychic Readings

May 24th, 2006

Psychic readers are often trivialized as fortune-tellers at the local fair. However, an effective psychic reader has the ability to address mental and emotional issues, such as pitfalls and bad relationships and how to deal with them; accurate counseling can help seekers address the core of the issue and make better progress in all aspects of their life.

However, doubts on a psychic reader’s credibility begin to crop up when a prediction goes awry. For instance, a psychic may predict that a major shift in the seeker’s relationship will occur in about a year. But when that year is up, and he finds himself in the same relationship, he tends to assume the prophecy was erroneous. Unfortunately, it is not so straightforward.

A psychic reader’s prophecy is not an engraving set in stone. Accuracy is very important in a psychic reading but, in every seeker’s individual life, free will is supreme. Psychic readers do not usually see an inflexible, predestined event. They see the patterns at work in the seeker’s life and how and when they are likely to manifest into certain events – IF his current momentum remains unchanged.

Accuracy must also reflect a psychic’s ability to offer lucid insights that a seeker could then apply to the issue in a practical manner. In the context of a bad relationship or marriage for instance, a seeker may be told, “Your relationship is coming to an end,” followed by an account of why that is being seen. Whether it is overwhelming job responsibilities or a bad temperament, why a relationship is heading towards disaster is more important than whether it will end. When the seeker begins to understand why things are going wrong and takes measure to rectify it, he takes the first step towards making a change, thus altering the psychic reader’s ominous prophecy.

An Online Bible Resource and Daily Devotional for the Christian Community

April 11th, 2006

We offer this online bible resource for the edification of the whole person in Christ. We are to know God and not just know about God.

This is a profound and counterintuitive quest that requires the miraculous power of God at work in us to achieve the end in mind.
This website is an online bible dialogue of spiritual things, for those who want to experience God intimately and intelligently, based on the message from Scripture that is - above all things - God’s personal objective communication to us from outside of time and space.
It is our particular interest to invite those who are seeking a deeper experience from God, who is the personification of Truth itself, to take a spiritual journey with us through a thought provoking dialogue about the concepts in Scripture that are hard to both teach and to grasp.
We rely on this key thought from the New Covenant promise: That God Himself is our Teacher by virtue of His inner presence through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
Wow…there’s a few concepts from the Bible that we can start chewing on right away!
Perhaps we can grow together into a faith-based community of believers who cannot get enough of the Truth and who desire to be transformed by God’s love! We’ll see. But first we need to begin by reading and thinking together. What has God spoken and how can we know it? How can we take these objective truths and experience God Himself in accordance with the terms He has laid out for us?
We join together in our progressive quest of lifelong learning, as an online bible community of faith, searching out the mind of Christ in developing the inner life.

We are the Body of Christ… meeting online… Spirit led… Bible based… spiritually alive in Christ… raised from the dead… forever!

The Astrological Sign Taurus, and Its Characteristics

April 10th, 2006

A Taurus is a special kind of person with very unique characteristics. You may not have known that the Taurus likes to be the center of attention just like the counterpart in the animal kingdom. In fact, many people who are a Taurus tend to be very bullish or stubborn when it comes to interacting with other people.

This can tend to be both a positive and a negative in certain ways. Positively, it can lead to a good sense of purpose and following through on projects and ideas. However, in some instances it may have the person seeing red when it comes to being able to handle any kind of criticism of what they may firmly believe in their mind.

A Taurus will in many cases have a very big, boisterous personality which some people may say is abrasive while others would call it lighting up the room. They usually don’t tend to shy away from the limelight and instead crave that kind of attention and opportunity to lead a group.

On a purely intellectual level, the Taurus may not be a superstar, instead prefering to get things accomplished with brute strength or a proven strategy which may have worked well in the past. It would be good for a Taurus to learn to try new and better ways of doing things.

Now you know more about the Taurus and what kinds of traits they can exhibit.

Sun Sign Mistakes Can Lead to Heartbreak

April 10th, 2006

I often see serious Sun sign mistakes in the questions, “How can I get a Gemini man?” “How can I get a Taurus man?” “How can I get a Pisces woman?” “How can I get a Libra woman?”

I must admit these seem like valid questions. After all, if you are one of the people asking this question, you already know that you feel an attraction to someone who has one of these Sun signs.

Let’s say you are a woman and found out that his Sun is in Gemini.

Your attraction to him puzzles you because your Sun is in Taurus and you read somewhere that a Gemini Sun sign and Taurus Sun sign don’t get along. They live in two different worlds

One lives in his mind and the other lives on the earth.

Yet, you find yourself attracted to a guy that you are not supposed to like!

Obviously, this does not make sense.

Something Is Wrong

This mystery is easy to understand if you will think about the following:

  • Most everyone is composed of several signs, not just the Sun sign. This means that their Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are usually in different signs.
  • You may have two planets in the sign of Taurus, one in Capricorn, and another in Cancer. This is why people are complex and it is a serious sun sign mistake to judge them simply on the placement of their Sun.

In the example given earlier, even though your Sun sign is in Taurus, your Mars may be in Gemini. Mars in a woman’s birth chart shows what sign she is passionately attracted to.

Since your man has is Sun in Gemini, you are drawn to each other. The signs of these two planets create an attraction because they have a harmonious chemistry. So how could this be viewed as a Sun sign mistake?

Because he may have his Saturn in Aquarius, which shows that he does not like the Taurus side of you and tends to criticize the way you approach life.

You find it hard to live under such criticism and you begin to feel that this person does not love you. Even though you are attracted to each other because of the Gemini energy, the Saturn conflict spoils the relationship.

This is what I call a Sun sign mistake.

Thousands of Sun sign mistakes are being made every day by thousands of people because too much emphasis is being placed on the Sun sign at the expense of innocent readers.

With just this bit of insight, you can see why your attraction to the Gemini man has deceived you.

What can you do?

You need to understand that all of your signs and planets work together to make up the total you. Because of this, you could be a very complex person with many conflicting desires which can be easily mis-read by others who are judging your only by your Sun sign.

You can clearly see that if you followed your desire for the Sun in Gemini man without knowing how your planetary energies work with his, it could be romantic suicide.

You can easily set yourself up for a real heartbreak by chasing the Sun sign illusion.

How to Understand Your Horoscope

April 10th, 2006

As you probably know, a horoscope is a map of the heavens at the time you were born. Your horoscope shows the astrologer what signs your planets are in. It reveals all your tendencies, attitudes, frustrations, talents and life purpose. And a lot more!

But you don’t need to figure this out to find out what your Mars means. Just ask an astrologer.

Let’s say I looked at your horoscope and found out that your Mars is in the sign of Cancer. Here’s an easy way to understand this:

Mars= passion and desire to take action

Cancer= a sign that relates to food, baking, bread, real estate, home, family, stomach, mothering and nurturing

Now, put some of these meanings together with Mars and you will come up with some things you really have a passion for. Then you simply ask “Which one of these things, that relate to my passion, do I feel the strongest about?”

You might say that you have a strong passion for cabinetmaking, which relates to building homes. Or you could have a strong passion for real estate or running a bakery. In any case, your Mars in Cancer shows that your passion is strongly related to the areas of life that relate to that sign.

Here’s another example:

Your Mercury is in Aquarius. Mercury= thinking and communications. Aquarius= relates to advanced technology, computers, aircraft, space travel, astrology, engineering, musical composition and friendships.

If you have your Mercury in Aquarius, you will always approach information from a technical or advanced level of awareness. The Aquarian signs imparts a keen ability to look beyond the obvious and seek out radical forms of expression. Some of our greatest pioneers, inventors, and composers had Mercury in Aquarius.

If your Mercury is in Aquarius, all of this will make sense to you.

Don’t you find it quite remarkable that the heavens can reveal so much information about you?

Let’s take one more example.

Your Venus is in Leo. Venus= appreciation, attraction, what you like. Leo= sign of the arts, creativity in all forms, love, romance, sports, theater, painting music, the heart, and children.

If your Venus is in Leo, you are truly a romantic. You love the game of love, playing the field, and expressing yourself creatively. You have a loving heart and you want to impart that feeling to others.

When you combine the planets with the signs, think of the planet as desire and the sign as an attitude. Then your horoscope will begin to make sense to you.

Obviously, your horoscope is far more complex than this, but I have shown you in a very simple way how the planets and signs reveal who you are.
